Millions undergo outpatient surgery every year and have trouble finding a companion who is required to bring them home and watch them for the first night. We bridged this gap between the OR and the living room by arranging specialized care, transportation, and communication
along the continuum of care on a scalable web platform. As a result, we made ambulatory surgery safer and available to a wider population of patients, and spared them a stressful and expensive hospital stay.

Drawing on the insights learned during grad school, I established a business that built functional prototypes to reduce noise pollution in intensive care settings and conducted user experiments.

Exploring problems, design thinking, and fostering teamwork to test solutions were at the center of this unique program at the #1 grad school for entrepreneurship. It led me to explore noise pollution in hospitals in a thesis project during which I led a team of fellow students in our research.
